I am not going to expound too much on the benefits of Natural Hormones, instead I am going to refer you to a book by David Brownstein M.D. called The Miracle of Natural Hormones which you can order at 1888 647 5616.
I have
found a lot of his ideas are excellent.
For instance many people who I have seen have been on a
synthetic thyroid such as Synthroid ,which is purely T4, have felt
much better on Armour Thyroid which is T4 and T3.
Both T4 and T3 are thyroid hormones with T3 being the more
active component.
There are
also a lot of men who have decreased testosterone with less energy,
strength, sex drive.
Testosterone replacement is available and really helps.
There are some studies showing it helps with diabetes as
well. Other hormones
involved are DHEA, Pregnenolone.
Pregnenolone is a precursor or building block to the other
sex hormones. These are
all easy enough to measure and then supplement if low.
There is
also a lot of controversy regarding hormone replacement in women.
The WHI study that was so publicized I feel really did an
injustice to a lot of women who could benefit from hormone
replacement. I would be
